Adventure starts close to home.

1st Bedford Scouts gives young people aged 5 to 17 the chance to camp, hike, paddle, build, and lead — and to grow into capable, confident people along the way.

About us

Scouting in Bedford

1st Bedford Scouts is a volunteer-run Scout group in Bedford, Nova Scotia, and part of Scouts Canada. We run programs for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers, so a young person can grow with us from kindergarten through high school.

Scouts Canada’s mission is to help develop well-rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world. We do that through the Canadian Path: youth-led adventures, the Outdoor Adventure Skills, and service to our community.

Ages 5–7

Beaver Scouts explore the world around them through play, crafts, and short outdoor adventures, together in their colony and lodges.
